PTA Honorary Service Awards

Each year, San Gabriel PTA asks for nominations for individuals or organizations who provide outstanding service to children and youth. We usually present our Honorary Service Awards at a ceremony at Open House. Our honorees receive a certificate, pin, and a donation made in their name for California State PTA scholarships and grants. We are proud to announce our this year’s recipients and look forward to presenting them their awards in person when we’re allowed to hold a school event.

PTA is looking for nominations for our Honorary Service Awards. We want to recognize those people, businesses, or organizations who provide outstanding community service to the children and youth in our community. Our Honorary Service Award committee will review all nominations and determine our honorees. Honorary Service Awards are presented at Open House and a donation is made in our honorees’ names to the California State PTA scholarship and grant program. Please get the nomination form and submit them at http://www.sangabrielpta.org/activities/hsa by March 6, 2020. The following are the categories and a description.

Very Special Person Award (VSP): May be given to individuals or PTA constituent organizations to recognize having contributed to the school community in a special way. Honorary Service Award (HSA): May be given to an individual or organization in the PTA, school or community in special recognition of outstanding service to children and youth. Continuing Service Award (CSA): May be given to an individual or organization in the PTA, school or community for recognition of outstanding service to children and youth. This award may be given to a person whose contributions have been significant over a continuing period of time. The award may be given regardless of whether a recipient has previously received the California State PTA’s Honorary Service Award.

Golden Oak Service Award: May be given to an individual or organization that has made significant contributions to the welfare of children and youth in the PTA, school or community. This award should be given to recognize exceptional service to children and youth; it is California State PTA’s most prestigious award.

Outstanding Teacher Award: May be given to a teacher in special recognition for outstanding service in positively impacting the lives and welfare of children and youth in the PTA, school, or community.

Outstanding Administrator Award: May be given to an administrator in special recognition for outstanding service in positively impacting the lives and welfare of children and youth in the PTA, school, or community. made on their behalf to the PTA scholarship foundation.
