Thank you for visiting the website for San Gabriel PTA. We 
 ope to share news about the activities, events, and our work on behalf of the students and families at San Gabriel Elementary School in Atascadero, CA. The activities and programs that our PTA directly supports through fundraising and/or volunteers include:

There are many ways that you can help. Please consider attending a PTA meeting, volunteering your time, providing goods or services, or making a donation to 

San Gabriel PTA. We are completely volunteer-run and appreciate any support. So please look around, contact us, and check back often for updates.

Student Drop Off

Student drop off begins at 7:45 am. There is no adult supervision before 7:45 am.

If your child is absent, please call the attendance line, message only. (805) 462-4345

Independent Study Contract
Independent Study Contracts are for absences of 5 days or more and allows students to complete class work and still get credit for attendance.

If you need an Independent Study Contract, it is required to notify your child's teacher and the office at least 5 days in advance. 

Thank you to everyone who has filled out the required Volunteer paperwork and now are cleared to help in the classrooms. Also, thank you to those who have been fingerprinted in order to chaperone at fieldtrips. Our teachers appreciate you!

Anyone who needs to be on school campus, please sign into our Raptor system in the school office.

Come out to our local McDonald’s for dinner or dessert and see your favorite teachers serving up food and smiles.  A percentage of all sales at the counter and drive-thru and all tips will be donated to our school.

ALL FOR BOOKS - OCT 29 - NOV 2, 2018

Our school is participating in a classroom-level coin drive called the Coin-A-Day Challenge from October 29 to Nov. 2. Each day represents a different type of coin. The classroom that collects the highest overall total will receive a $5 scholastic gift card for each student to spend at the book fair!!

* Penny Monday
* Nickel Tuesday
* Dime Wednesday
* Quarter Thursday
* Any Coin Friday
If you have loose coins hiding under couch cushions, floor mats, in pants pockets, or the bottom of your bag, put them to good use by giving students more access to books they’ll want to read! Our school will use the donations to purchase books for our teachers classrooms. Scholastic will match the amount we raise and donate books to victims of the hurricanes to help rebuild their school libraries!!

The Fall Book Fair is coming!!

When: November 5th thru November 9th
Where: The Cafeteria
Time: Monday 11/5 through Friday11/9
Before School: 7:50-8:10 & After School: 2:45-4:00

KISS Event: Kids Invite Someone Special Wednesday, November 7th from 11:30-1:00 pm

We have our first Box Top collection drive and contest of the year.  Please bundle your Box Tops in bags of 50 and turn in your Box Tops by October 19.  Please check the expiration dates; only unexpired Box Tops will be accepted.  

Our Contests:

  • The classroom with the most Box Tops will win a special recess with Mrs. Ames where we’ll play games like Hoop Hop Showdown.
  • The classroom that shows the most school spirit and wears their Gator green on Friday, October 19 will also receive an additional 30 Box Tops for their classroom.

The San Gabriel School PTA will be sponsoring the annual Pumpkin Carving Contest on Wednesday October 31st.  Prizes will be awarded for each grade in the categories listed below.  Pumpkins may be carved and/or decorated.  Last year you brought in many spectacular pumpkins! 

Bring your pumpkins (already decorated/or carved) along with the bottom section of this form to the outside stage before school in the morning. Please look for your grade level table to sign in. Afternoon kindergartners - pumpkins must be at school by 9:00 a.m.

Students must pick-up their pumpkins right after school.  All pumpkins not picked up will be thrown out 15 minutes after the school bell.

Your pumpkin’s candle may not be lit at school. Pumpkins are not allowed on the bus.  Please be sure to make other transportation arrangements.

If help is needed, a family member may assist you only in carving the top off the pumpkin and scooping-out the insides. For any additional help, please enter the “Family Design” category.

Please fill out and bring with your pumpkin on Wednesday October 31st, 2018!!
