24th District PTA Battle of the Books - June 10, 2017

We have some GREAT NEWS about an activity for ALL 3rd-6th grade students. The Twenty-Fourth District PTA is hosting a countywide competition for Battle of the Books! The event is FREE and will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2017 beginning at 9 am. If you are not familiar with Battle of the Books, details about this fun competition can be found at the Battle of the Books website.
Registration is now open and will run through May 31 or until 200 students have registered (whichever comes first). Visit www.24thpta.org or follow this link to register your student: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BattleOfTheBooks2017
To qualify, students must
- be a 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th grade student
- be a resident of San Luis Obispo County
- attend a public or private school or be home-schooled within SLO County
- have read at least five (5) books* on the Battle Book List 2017 (If your school is holding a Battle, our list should match yours.)
This fun day for students includes breakfast, lunch, and a chance to win some fun prizes, including tickets to SLO Blues Baseball games, the Santa Barbara Zoo, the Great American Melodrama, and Hearst Castle.
